One: a site that loads fast and states the offer
Under three seconds on a phone, phone number tappable at the top, the offer from your ads repeated word for word, and a form with three fields.
Design is close to irrelevant compared with those four things.
Two: a complete business profile
Categories, every service listed, accurate hours, real recent photos, service area, and questions answered by you. The highest-return free asset in local marketing, and usually half-finished.
Three: a way to capture every enquiry
Calls, forms, texts, and walk-ins recorded in one place with a source. Without this you cannot compute cost per customer, which means every other decision is a guess.
A spreadsheet is acceptable. Nothing is not.
Four: conversion tracking that has been tested
Fires on the right page, counted once, verified by converting yourself and watching the number move by exactly one. Untested tracking is worse than none, because it produces confident wrong decisions.
Five: a review request that happens automatically
Text with a direct link when the job completes. This is the difference between forty reviews and four, and reviews set the price of every lead you buy.
Six: one place that shows spend and outcomes together
Any format. What matters is that spend, outcomes, cost per outcome, and the trend are visible in one view with one definition.
What is not on the list
A CRM with automation workflows, a social scheduler, a landing page builder, an email marketing platform with segmentation, a dashboard tool, an AI content generator.
Some of those become worthwhile later. None of them belongs before the six above are genuinely done, and buying them first is the most common way a marketing budget gets consumed by capability instead of customers.
